Parachute Games, Physical Education

Have the children stood in a circle around the parachute and drop the soft balls onto the parachute. The children must work together to shake the balls from the parachute.

Once the children have got the hang of shaking the balls off, split the group into two teams. One team remains using the parachute to shake the balls off and the other attempts to put the balls back onto the parachute.

Winning can be determined by counting the balls for each team at the end of a set time (with the team ‘owning’ the least being the winning team), or by playing until one team has no balls left.

This game should use soft balls; using hard balls could be dangerous if they fall on a child’s head.
